Elizabeth Child has been an active performer and teacher since moving to Tryon in 2001 after a twenty year career in New York. She holds a doctorate in performance from The Juilliard School, and has appeared four times on Tryon’s TCA subscription series.

Born in Georgia, Dr. Child gave her first solo recital at age ten and made a televised orchestral appearance at age twelve, eventually leading to her New York debut in Weill Recital Hall at Carnegie Hall where Will Crutchfield of the NY Times stated “one always sensed that something was happening in her playing, and that made it easy to enjoy.”

6:00 pm
Adults $15 presale $20 after October 17

Trio Tapestry weaves the vibrant sounds of violin, cello, and classical guitar into an enchanting musical fabric. The pulsing rhythms of Gypsy jazz and contemporary soundscapes mingle with the gossamer threads of classical favorites and Spanish serenades. Trio Tapestry is “…a delight to the ear and respite for the mind.”

Members include violinist Joanna Mulfinger Lebo, cellist Sharon Mulfinger Gerber, and classical guitarist Amy Brucksch. All three are accomplished musicians; among them they share talents as teachers, writers, composers, arrangers, and performers extraordinaire. They also share a passion for bringing music to others.
